Humphrey Yang

Hi, this is Ziyue (Humphrey) Yang. I am a PhD student in economics at Australian National University, supervised by Professor John Stachurski.

I am also a research assistant at QuantEcon. I worked as a research assistant at ANU Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Statistics (RSFAS) and a summer intern at Data61, CSIRO, researching statistical learning and the security of generative adversarial models.

I graduated with bachelor degrees in Data Analytics and Politics, Philosophy and Economics in 2023.

When I have free time, I enjoy hiking around Canberra (there are lots of kangaroos) and catching up with the latest tech news. I spend most of my time tweaking programs and learning maths and economic theory with help from John, Tom, and friends at ANU.
